Why GutID is different

Why GutID is different to every other test.

qPCR looks for a fixed list of organisms, and a 16S-only test reads one short piece of DNA. Titan-1 reads one continuous ~2,500-base fragment, so each bacterium is identified and measured as part of the whole ecosystem, even when no species name exists.

Now availableGutID Pro · For professional use · US only

Everything in Titan-1, plus 65 more markers.

31 commensal and dysbiotic markers, plus eight lab panels you would usually order as separate tests: the GI panel, inflammation and digestion and H. pylori. All in every kit, from one collection, each result read beside the whole ecosystem on one report.

Ordered and interpreted by approved clinicians in the US, except New York State. Not sold to patients.

65markers on top of Titan-1, in every kit

  • 31Commensal and dysbiotic bacteria
  • 30GI panel: enteric bacteria, viruses, parasites, Candida
  • 3Calprotectin, pancreatic elastase-1, fecal occult blood
  • 1H. pylori stool antigen

Options: fecal leukocytes and one C. difficile test.

Working together

Two ways to bring GutID into your practice.

Some practices stock the test and hand it over in the room. Others send the patient to us and keep their time for the consultation. Either way, you earn on every kit.

The platform

How Titan-1 reads a sample.

qPCR asks whether a named organism is present. A 16S-only read estimates composition, usually to genus. Titan-1 uses strain-level data to identify each bacterium to species, and measures how much of the community it holds.

01

One long, continuous read

A single ~2,500-base fragment, made by a patented method, spanning the full 16S gene, the ITS and the start of 23S, read intact.

02

Identity from the whole read

Our own platform assigns identity from the whole long read rather than matching short markers, improving detection of poorly represented organisms.

03

Proportions you can compare

A single continuous read reduces fragmentation bias, so diversity, evenness and relative abundance are measured on one consistent target.
